The top of the shank is enhanced with 8 princess cut channel set diamonds totaling .53 carats. An extra .45 carats are added with 16 pave set diamonds visible from both side profiles of the ring. In this design the emerald cut diamonds offer an elevated level of sophistication and elegance. The long trim lines of an emerald diamond also offer more dramatic sparkles of light. Since emerald cut diamonds are typically less expensive than comparable round brilliant diamonds it also allows for a larger center stone.
