History of Keezing Kreations
Store owner and jewelry designer Debbie Keezing shares her experience in the jewelry industry:
“My father was one of the very first Platinum jewelry designers in Boston back in 1946. I have many fond memories of him working with his hands to give his customers the very best possible experience in buying diamonds and getting the perfect ring. He also did all of the trade work for many of the established jewelry stores in Boston and surrounding suburbs. Wholesale companies of the Jeweler’s Building such as Longs, Shreve Crump and Low had him manufacture jewelry for them, he was that good.
Personally I started selling jewelry at the early age of 15. I joined my father in the Jeweler’s Building in 1978 which is when I realized that the jewelry business is what I am passionate about and what I enjoy the most. I started small with three showcases before upsizing to a full scale jewelry store until 2007. It was at this time I chose to downsize in order to adapt with our changing economy.
Having a smaller retail jewelry design studio reduces my overhead and allows me to pass on much appreciated cost savings to my highly valued customers. I continue to bring my knowledge and years of business experience to a new level. I always have a jeweler on the premise and as a team we can design, restore, repair and size jewelry quicker and at more reasonable rates than all other stores. I can proudly say that being in the business since I was a teenager gives me my own unique flair that you won’t find in your average diamond salesperson or jewelry designer.”
